Aruna Padmanabhan is a guild certified Feldenkrais Method teacher who leads Awareness Through Movement classes. Centered around slow, gentle movements and guided attention, these classes create a space for us to listen to ourselves, in a way we may not have since childhood. Bringing her own interest in body awareness, Aruna encourages students to be curious about themselves and in the process uncover small, largely unconscious patterns that restrict movement and influence behavior. This creates an opportunity to let go of habits that create stress and anxiety in our lives. During the lessons, movements done with awareness engage the neuroplasticity of the brain to create new patterns, new habits and new ways of being in the world. Aruna’s classes, taught in a warm and friendly manner, allow each person to discover that finding east in small movements can have a profound effect on the entire self.

My name is Christine Stewart-Patterson (most folx call me Chrissy) & I'm the owner and co-operator of Sominbo Wellness an Integrative Wholistic Wellness studio based in East Baltimore, MD. In my personal life I’m a mother, a wife, a daughter, a caring grand-daughter and a loyal friend. I love to cook and feed people, be in nature, listen to good music and have deep and thoughtful conversations. My 18+ year career in wholistic health & wellbeing began in high school with doing yoga during track practice, it stuck with me and I eventually began guiding others through their own yoga practice both on and off the mat. My love of wholistic health and wellness was broadened and flourished through learning the healing art of massage therapy which I practice as both a table side therapist and a trade professor. Informing my clients and students of the complex and in depth connections within their bodies; teaching them how their daily lives have an affect on the way the body presents itself and how to be knowledgeable and safely proactive in their own body healing. As a Reiki practitioner, Energy worker and Meditation Facilitator I’m here to hold safe space for clarity, acknowledgement and release. Giving my clients and my students a way to align & balance on a spiritual level. My career and passion for wellness, wholistic wellbeing and authenticity permeate all that I do. I love to learn new things and I’m always researching, studying and training to enhance my knowledge and abilities as a wellness professional.
